Selection Options

The Search Results page contains a link called Selection Options.  Click the link to expand and reveal the available options.

The Selection Options are Clear Selected Features, Zoom to Selected Features, Export to .txt file, and Buffer select.

Clear Selected Features:  Click the Clear icon  to remove current selection in the map and data table view.

Zoom To Selected Features:  Click the Zoom To icon  to update the map view zooming to the extent of all currently selected features.

Export to .txt file:  Click the Export icon  to create a comma delimited text file of the selected table data.  Some browsers will display a save dialog and others will display the text data as a webpage.  If the data is immediately displayed use the browser's file menu to print or save the data.

Buffer select:  A buffer is an expansion of a shape in all directions at a specified distance.  The buffer select command selects all features within a specified distance from the current selection.  If one or more features are currently selected enter a distance and click the buffer icon  to select all features within the distance.

Example:

Select a feature.

Enter a buffer distance and click the buffer icon.

All features that are within or cross the buffer are selected.
